Our Family Law Practice
We work with men and women throughout the divorce process, from the decision to file through trial or post-judgment requests for modification or enforcement. We handle all matters related to or arising out of divorce, including:
- Child custody and visitation - We will help you establish and put in place custody and visitation arrangements that are in the best interests of your minor children while protecting your rights as a parent. We will help you craft agreements that consider the health, educational, religious and other special needs of your children.
- Child support - We will review all proposed child support agreements for compliance with Ohio guidelines, and determine whether all relevant income has been included in the calculation. We will also help you seek deviations from the standards, if necessary.
- Alimony or spousal support - We will work with you to determine whether a grant of alimony is warranted, looking carefully at the factors the court will consider, such as length of marriage, age and health of the parties, and earning capacities. If alimony is appropriate, we will help you establish how much should be paid and for how long.
- The division of marital debts and assets - We will work with you to equitably divide the debts and assets of your marriage, including real and personal property, retirement funds, financial assets and business interests.
